Young America, we have a problem

...and we need solutions

With reckless fiscal policy and unwillingness to say "no" to the demands of special interest groups, the Republicans and Democrats in Washington have put our futures at risk.

Even more than the debt, however, our era cries out for reinvestment and revitalization. The middle class is shrinking and leaving many people our age worried about the types of jobs they will have in the future.

Yes, we need to control the debt - but this by itself is insufficient. As a nation, we must focus our energies on repositioning ourselves for the 21st century. Concerned Youth of America is not an organization of academics or policymakers and we do not have all the answers. Instead, we seek - through both traditional and innovative channels - to educate and motivate the young people of our generation to take action.
